Nicholas Mazzotti

ASSOCIATE

Nicholas Mazzotti tracks the California State budget and public funding Streams with a specialization in conservation at EEC. Specifically, he works with clients on their funding goals and provides strategic and administrative support by tracking the state budget, interacting with appropriate players in the budget development process, and providing expertise on suitable state grant programs for client projects. Additionally, Nick supports the endeavors of the Wildlife Corridor Working Group, namely creating an interactive map database of crossing structures throughout the state.

 

Prior to working at EEC, Nicholas specialized in conservation science, namely California Coastal grasslands and conserving California native species. He gained policy experience as a lobbyist with the UC Santa Cruz Student Union Assembly, advocating at the local level on behalf of the student body.

 

Nicholas graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a concentration in conservation and policy from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
