Samantha Samuelsen

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Samantha Samuelsen is a Senior Associate with a focus on building decarbonization, conservation, and meeting California’s robust climate action targets. Samantha brings over seven years of experience in public policy, communications, public affairs, and public service to the team at EEC.

 

Prior to her current role, Samantha has served as a Government Affairs Program Manager for the National Audubon Society in California, and as a Policy Analyst, Communications Director, and Legislative Aide in the California State Legislature.

 

Samantha has successfully contributed to the development and passage of multiple bills & secured budget wins on topics including; conservation of natural & working lands, achieving 30×30, the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, sea level rise mitigation, equitable procurement and distribution of green energy, and pathways to meet California’s GHG emissions targets.

 

Well-versed in developing and executing effective communication campaigns, Samantha works across diverse communities to raise awareness and engagement among various audiences and platforms.

 

Samantha holds a B.A, Political Science – Public Service and a B.A, Gender & Women’s Studies from the University of California, Davis.
