Kai specializes in transportation policy and regulatory affairs at Environmental & Energy Consulting.

Before joining EEC, Kai held positions in both the Capitol and District Offices of Pro Tem Designee Senator Mike McGuire. In this capacity, she engaged in community concerns and legislative initiatives, conducted stakeholder meetings, championed legislation, and led outreach and communication endeavors on behalf of the Senator. Prior to her legislative role, Kai gained experience in various state agencies such as California State Parks and the Employment Development Department. During her college years, she collaborated with the University’s Center for Community-Based Learning and actively participated in Model United Nations.

Kai graduated from California Polytechnic University, Humboldt with a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Environment and Sustainability, along with a minor in International Studies.
