Kayla Robinson

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Kayla Robinson leads on clean energy, waste, and toxics policy at Environmental & Energy Consulting. As a Senior Associate at the firm, she works with clients to develop legislative and regulatory campaign strategies to achieve their near- and long-term climate goals. Her specific areas of expertise include building decarbonization, organic waste recycling, circular economy efforts, and PFAS chemical reduction measures.

 

During her time at EEC, Kayla has helped pass critical climate legislation, including creating California’s first comprehensive battery and battery-embedded product recycling program and banning PFAS chemicals in food packaging, cosmetics, and textiles. She also has a proven track record in the budget and regulatory space – She was instrumental in securing over $1 billion in funding for decarbonizing the state’s building sector and continues to work across the state to both encourage and require the use of zero-emission appliances.

 

Prior to EEC, Kayla worked for California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon’s Press Office. She also has experience working for international nonprofits including Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in Washington, D.C. and the Green Education Center in Yunnan, China. Kayla graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from Colgate University.
