Megan Mekelburg leads on transportation policy and regulatory issues at Environmental & Energy Consulting. As a Senior Associate at the firm, she works with clients to advance policy in the legislative and regulatory arenas in California, as well as Oregon and Washington.

Prior to EEC, she worked in the offices of California State Senators Stern, Newman, and Wahab. Megan served in a variety of legislative roles including Legislative Director where she wrote bill language,  advised on communications and political strategy, and led complex multi-stakeholder negotiations. While in the legislature, the bulk of her policy work included natural resource, environmental quality, energy, transportation, and budget issues.

Megan graduate with a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Davis. She is also currently pursuing a Masters in Public Policy and Administration degree at the California State University, Sacramento.
