LEGISLATIVE ASSISTANT
Specializing in conservation and climate policy at Environmental & Energy Consulting, Jake works with environmentally-focused organizations in areas such as greenhouse gas reduction, natural and working lands, and sustainable resource management. His background combines legislative advocacy and policy development with firsthand experience as a former wildland firefighter for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
At EEC, Jake helps shape and advance policies that reduce climate impacts and protect California’s natural landscapes. He works closely with legislative staff, state agencies, and environmental coalitions to support land conservation efforts, improve carbon sequestration strategies, and accelerate state climate resilience initiatives to ensure long-term sustainability for California communities.
Jake holds a B.A. in History of Public Policy and Law from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
