Abigail Smet

ASSOCIATE, CONSERVATION POLICY MANAGER

Abigail Smet specializes in land conservation, biodiversity, and climate policy at EEC. She helps clients clearly define their funding and policy goals and supports them in realizing these goals through strategic planning, coalition and relationship building, and legislative advocacy.

 

During her time at EEC, Abigail has successfully advocated for significant state funding to support the state’s conservation and climate resilience objectives. She also leads multiple statewide stakeholder coalitions focused on a wide range of conservation issues including wildfire prevention, equitable outdoor access for all, and expanding wildlife habitat connectivity.

 

Abigail graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of California, Davis.
